Sometime in all of our lives we are all going to face some storms. When you think about storms in your life I bet you don't think about thunderstorms |
You probably think about the death of someone you love dealing with a difficult relationship, going through a financial crisis withstanding legal problems unpleasant or painful health problems dealing with rebellious children being laid off from work dealing with a conflict at work |
Jesus gives us insight into how we can keep standing up in the storms of life. The most famous words of Jesus are found in Matthew 5-7 The Sermon on the Mount is the sermon where Jesus tells us to, turn the other cheek, be like salt and light in the world avoid lust and anger, don't worry, don't judge others forgive or we won't be forgiven |
If you build your life on the Lord, you will be able to survive anything. We will survive in the storms of life if we build on the right foundation because, Our strength will not come from us, but from the Lord We will not trust our wisdom, but from His Our focus will not be on present day struggles but on our future hope, we will know where to turn, who to trust, and what is really important. |
When your storms of life come, keep your eyes focused on Jesus. Don't focus on the storm! You can allow God's power to lift you above them You can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh you down, it is how you handle those burdens. |
STORMS OF LIFE When storms of life are raging and doubt reaches my way, remind me of Your love, Lord, to keep my fears at bay.
When all I see is failure and mountains, hard to climb, just whisper in my ear, O Lord, that You are still sublime. |
This life may disappoint me and so may people too. Lord, show me Your faithfulness and keep me true to You.
When tears do fill my eyes, Lord, and I'm seemingly blind, walk with me, Precious Jesus, and ease my tired mind. |
Take me by the hand, Lord, when roads are washing out. Provide me with protection and keep me from all doubt.
When I'm getting real tired from struggling day and night, hold me tight, dear Jesus, Please, be my guiding light. Author Unknown

Storms
There will be storms, child There will be storms.. And with each tempest You will seem to stand alone Against cruel winds... But with time, the rage and fury Shall subside And when the sky clears You will find yourself Clinging to someone You would have never known But for storms...
